President's Message - May 2017
As our Southern Nevada weather begins to warm into spring, the Snow Birds are leaving the Valley. Departing for the summer are Ken and Francois Baker who will summer in France, and Sallie McClary will enjoy her home on an island off the Washington state coast. Also departing are Peter and Elva Berent. The Berents are returning to England for good. They have sold their home in Las Vegas, and will leave us the first part of May. We are sorry to see them go as they have become good friends to Andrew and me, as well as many other members of the club. I wish them well, and I know they will keep in touch.
Around the country many car enthusiasts are dusting off their LBC’s and other classic cars. We however are preparing ours for the summer hibernation. But, before you put your “baby” to bed, check out a few of the car events before the heat returns. Jared Carithers and Laurie Rosenau are hosting a run to Kingman, Pat and Al Seminatore will host the Mt. Charleston Run. There is talk of a drive-in theater night and a Beat the Heat Run. Still a lot to do before it gets too hot.
Enjoy your springtime and hope to see you all very soon.
