This little gem, Kershaw-Ryan State Park is hidden well and a stunning oasis in the canyon outside Caliente, NV which is also a fun railroad town to check out. $5 Entrance fee for NV residents and $10 for out of state will be covered by the club.
Route: We will start our journey at the Love's Travel Stop on highway 93 and Interstate 15, about 20 miles North of Las Vegas. North on Hwy 93 for 56 miles to the Panranagat Reservoir rest area for a break. Gas stop in Alamo, NV is 11 more miles (67 total so far). Continue on 93 N through Ash Springs, Crystal Springs then on to Caliente, NV for another 65 miles. Turn right on hwy 317 and travel 2 miles to the Park entrance.
Distance: 130 miles each way from the Love's Truck stop. Gas stop in Alamo and Caliente
Times:
8:00am meet at the Loves truck stop
8:30am depart
9:30am stop at Panranagat Reservoir and gas stop in Alamo
11:30am ish arrive at Kershaw Ryan state Park (Bring lunch and beverages and chairs) 12:30pm depart, Gas up in Caliente
2:00 pm Gas stop in Alamo if needed, last stop back at the Love’s if you need it
Also, raffle tickets will be sold for Golden Tickets for two seats to an upcoming Vegas Golden Knights home game at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday, March 3, 2022, presented by Rosie & Michael Johnson.
